Thaweewong Thongyuen, former chairman of Phan Thong Tambon Administration Organisation (TAO) in Chon Buri, was caught in a plantation of his younger brother Rakchart Thongyuen in tambon Ban Kao of Muang district. Mr Thaweewong reportedly asked his ex-wife to meet him and he was in her car when the hired gunman identified as Thanachai Yaemcharoen approached and fired at her. Acting as the middleman, Mr Somchai received 200,000 baht from Mr Thaweewong and paid 30,000 baht to the gunman. Mr Jeeraphan and Mr Somchai were arrested in Chon Buri Friday morning.
